Dr. Adil Menon has had fairly extensive experience with mentorship, starting with his first job as a Kumon reading tutor at age 14. While pursuing his medical education he variously served as a writing coach, ACT tutor, program coordinator for an afterschool tutoring program for adolescents with Sickle Cell, and a histology instructor. Within residency he served as faculty for various first year medical student courses including Medical Decision Making, Problem Based Learning and Introduction to Ethics. Beyond this he is also active in histology instruction during medical school anatomy labs. In recognition of his commitment to medical education he was inducted into the Feinberg Academy of Medical Educators during his final year of residency. Outside of his institution Dr. Menon frequently assists applicants to pathology with their personal statements, resume development and interview practice as part of opportunities offered by Inside the Match and MatchToPath. In terms of coaching philosophy Dr. Menon predominantly adopts a methodist coaching approach developing uniquely targeted plans based on mentees goals and the history and context they bring to the table.
